Me too...and considering that white is the official Porsche Motorsport color, I think that the car looks great.

Excellent looking car , eh spyder . My hopes are high ..... someone mentioned that they are about a half second off AF Corses time around ricard ..... outta the box that's pretty good in my opinion .
They should label on shark teeth , around the mouth like Freisinger did years ago ..... WHEN THEY WON THE FIAGT !!! |

They won the Spa 24hrs in 2003 not just in class but outright too. Norbert Singer had a good hand in that....

The early times are definitely encouraging. I can't wait to see this baby race in anger. It must be a little disconcerting for the other teams to have the might of Manthey and Porsche AG behind this car.
Let the good times roll for us Porkie fans. |

Yes (like yesterday too). Ideal lap today was quicker than #71, but if we look at all the sessions, they are still two tenths off. Very encouraging so far.

Now we can only hope that it will have reduced tire wear rates and better stability to make up for the mileage deficit it will have. Le Mans anyone!
Here's to wishful thinking and the new dfi engine that isn't exactly around the corner, this year at least. Still excited though. |

It wouldn't make a lot of sense for a new factory GTE car to come out and kill the other cars in testing anyway would it?

They still run a good deal of breaks like last years car. Not as light as the Aston but they should be happy with where the car is at in pace at only the 2nd test.

I remember hearing that a mod made at a race track to a rear window , and passed on to the customers improved speed about 10 years or more ago ..... its hard to replace experience like that .

I think it was actually written in English, but it's been out of print for a while.

It is in English as others here have mentioned and it is in fact an excellent story. If you don't have Porsche and Me (Hans Mezger) yet, I would highly recommend this book too. |
