That info passed me by. I remember from an Autosport Le Mans Guide (when they were still 'doable') that he lived in Le Mans. Never got the message that he moved out to another town. In that case, I'll just follow his first example, and forget about moving out again

Loving this. The new poster for LM, taken from the E-I facebook page.

Will be interesting to see if this is actually the order in the race!

But why is there this "fake" character in a pre-war helmet and goggles? If they're trying to evoke that period of LM, the character would certainly have been clean-shaven and would probably have been wearing a suit and tie!

Not sure if anyone has got round to flicking through the 2012 annual yet, but in an interview with Pierre Fillon he mentions a few interesting changes regarding the circuit.

The bad news is not really unexpected. The ACO will be taking a look at the Porsche Curves in a bid to make them safer, the same with the exit of 'Corvette Corner'.

Around that area is also going to be the new 1.4km kart track. Around that will be a driving simulation centre building, a boutique and a restaurant - complete with a terrace which will give you views of both the kart track and the race circuit.

He also says they are going to build a pyramid-shaped tower besides the grandstands facing the pits. This will display the race positions like at Indianapolis and apparently some other information.

I'm not sure exactly where that would be placed to be honest. Combined these changes will certainly change the look of the place over the next couple of years.

Government grants? Memberships? Perhaps a tie-up here and there. Certainly someone could sponsor that pyramid as Audi have that giant metal sculpture in the village.

Sponsors are probably the most likely.
And lets not forget that Le Mans 24hours is very likely to make a profit so they are able to do these kind of investments.

And luckily the organisers of the race are the same as the people who own the rights and collect the revenues.
Not like F1 were circuits have to pay mr. Scrooge McDuck 23 million $ (amount I read about Turkey GP in the weekend of 22+23 June next year) to be granted the honour to hold a GP where CVC gets all the money, and the circuit only the income for tickets and hotdogs!

The pyramid would be prime advertising estate as well. Rolex may want to expand from the clock.

(Or Audi just to make sure their name is everywhere)
