Well if you managed it that is good going but the security is usually very hot so it may not all ways be possible

So you'd basically enter the pits as if you were a car coming in off the Bugatti circuit?

In fact yes, not via asphalt as that is closed but for example behind a (tyre)wall or a walk through a graveltrap.
If you take a look, you'll find a gap for sure. The security isn't that good, only at the most logic and simple places.

I've visited Le Mans 5 years and 5 years I had my daily pitwalk, so it isn't just one lucky shot.

Keep your posting rate up like it's going now, you'll have a fair shot next year!(not that I'm in the jury or whatever...)

Quite some years ago, me and a friend of mine made it a point to run our petrol engined RC cars(A Lark McLaren F1 GTR and a Porsche 911 GT1 by Kyosho) across the start/finish straigth on the Saturdaymorning.
As we did so, officials came up to us quite quickly to usher us of the track. We begged for a few more minutes more running time, which they granted us. When we stopped this, we were send across the pitwall, straight into the morning business of the pitstraight!
I know it´s a long shot, and it´ll require some RC stuff, but maybe it´ll work again, probably since the officials of today won´t be the same ones as back then!

I would have thought getting onto the front straight would be harder than getting into the pits.

To be honest, I really forgot the way we got there. I'll ask my mate, maybe he remembers. It was in 1999 as I recall.

In 1999 security was very lax, in those days you could get just about everywhere but these days it is a load more difficult

Sadly, that not just only goes for the Le Mans 24 hours...

Regular General Entrance tickets will get you in everywhere, also on Mulsanne/Arnage.

Which campsite ticket to buy? At the moment the ACO website shows 3 yellow sites left: Beausejour, Pincenardiere, and Dairon, and one red: Expo.
The yellow campsites are rather far away from the Village. Expo is closer, but if I remember from another forum, the ground is very hard, so putting up your tent is near impossible without decent tentpegs and a hammer.
You can buy the tickets you want now and opt for collecting them. As Le Mans is getting nearer, and at the moment I have some bad experience with sending tickets abroad, I'd recommend collecting them! At the Rotunda/Rotonde that is.

You will need:
-one campsite ticket for each car, no matter how many occupants
-one General Entrance/Admittance ticket for each person

Edit: arriving saturday morning will mean it will be extremely busy. Maybe better use the Courier Service. Should be much better than Belgian and British Royal Mail. It's still three weeks+ so they should arrive in time when you buy them at the ACO Billetterie.

a bit more tricky would be camping.. but i''m fairly sure you can find a place to raise the tent.

Pit lane tickets are extra but ruddy expensive a couple of hundred i think.
Grandstands are free to use on wednesday and Thursday for qualifying but not for the race, they are not essential but cost varying on the stand itself however most of those will be sold out already, personally I don't bother with them but many on here consider them essential.
There are loads of different Camping options, although most have already sold out with the ACO at the moment, you can get some direct from the ACO website and pick them up at the rotunda on arrival, they will provide a map by email, however whatever they have left now will still be around when you arrive so best option is to arrive at the rotunda and buy a camping ticket then, as they may have some better campsites available as returns from the agents.
There are plenty on e bay at the moment but delivery might be expensive and uncertain this late.
There is a good description of the camp site on a internet site called Beermountain.com on this forum you can see where we are all camped on the rollcall, everyone has there prefered site but as always you get what you pay for and the cheapest sites are less popular and that is why they are still available on the ACO web site.
Hope this helps, oh and welcome to the forum any more questions please asjk away
Thank you guys.

Well, for the tickets we are going to buy them directly beofre the race, hoping...we want ot avoid to drive for more than 1000km and not to find any ticket there...
I need some clarifications about the general entrance. I can go everywhere with that ticket and i will have good views over the race? How does this ticket work?

about the camping instead we can use for sure the farest, without any issue for walking a bit more.

Each time you enter/leave a spectator's area, your ticket gets scanned by a handheld scanner. Make sure it gets scanned! Because once, slightly liquored up, I made my way back out of my campsite without having it scanned. When I tried to get back in, according to the computer, I was still in. Luckily by then I knew, and they knew me, the ladies at the gate and they let my in regardless. The scanning is done so you can't pass the ticket to another person and use it twice to get in. Remember that!

Did not really understand what you meant according to the camping. I think you mean that you don't mind walking. In that case, Beausejour tickets are always available and you can buy them at the entrance of the campsite.
