We always do the thursday quali between 10 and 12 in Arnage and Mulsanne. It is a wery good time to go by car. It makes a big impression to firsttimers and a good "welcome back" feeling to the rest of us.

Going back from Mulsanne to Karting Nord is a bit of a struggel as we need to go around the whole track to get to the front of the circiut. But as you do not miss any of the race and RLM gives you a good review of the quali it is ok.

If one can stop from sleeping after qualification going back
(don't know why theres a cheese as "subject")

With regards to driving to Arnage:

Am I right in thinking that from Houx you can head down to Beausejor on the road inside the circuit confines 'Chemin aux Boeufs'.

Then cross back under the track at Porsche Curves and take the Route de Ruardin and then the Route de Mulsanne. Does that get you there or are there some other closures to take into account?

You're absolutely right about that. Exit Houx and go right on Chemin aux Boeufs.

When you have arrived at Beausejour, this is the route to follow to Arnage and further to Mulsanne:

But the last few hundred metres are a little optimistic You need Mulsanne camping passes to get that far

Yep that's right.

I suppose what exacerbates the traffic problem is the fact that people travelling to Mulsanne have to drive straight past the entrance to Arnage, so up to Arnage you've got double the traffic, so to speak.

But if you go in the night - or late evening for qually, the traffic isn't too bad.

I assume you need to set off pretty sharpish after the first evening session if you want to get there for 10pm? Hopefully getting parked up at Arnage is doable in an hour though right?

When you leave after the first wednesday practice, you have more than enough time to make it to Arnage before the qualifying session of 22.00hrs.

Yep - easily do-able. We did just that last year.

Hmmm... well the 36+ hour test has been passed this year, not sure I'm ready for the 80+ hour test

Not sure that it's something which should be attempted
We don't want this to turn into news stories about Le Mans Fans dying like the Asian computer players!

2. Best places to park?
