Reason behind Arena #10 off in the second session was a tire exploding on the entry to the Karting curves according to telemetry......pretty scary place to have one! Nothing more than race pace run today for No.10. Something else....Tom Chilton has not been given dispensation to run in the race due to Vauxhall committments at Croft.......I hear rumours of a replacemant driver in the wings, a rather good one too
Great to see Pesca mixing it with the LMPds......cant help but feel that Audis final charge was thwarted by the red flag at the end of the session though (having looked at McNish's commments). Pug seem to have the pace though, reliability? ....I foresee and Audi 1,2 Pesca 3. Anyone got any good photos? Last edited by Aerodynamic; 3 Jun 2007 at 19:52. |

RLM said he had been given dispensation, although Tom knew nothing in the morning at Croft... |

What are the causes of these laps under 3'30" ?
- cars (Peugeot has announced more than 700hp, Audi are close to 700hp.) - pilots But also : - tyres - new Tertre Rouge as a lesser reason (1 second maybe) Notice that the GT1 have done good laps too despite smaller restrictors. In 1992, on a very similar circuit, Alliot made 3'21"2(Pug), Dalmas 3'22"5 (Pug), Lees 3'26"4 (Toy), Lammers 3'27"7(Toy) and Raphanel 3'29"3'(Toy). 2007 top cars are not far from these results. Interesting ! |

........I know. Unfortunatly the ACO act in wierd and wonderful ways. The DS article (news from today) suggests that he has not been approved. The rumours I have been hearing also make me think he may have to wait another year.

We need the trap speeds before the first chicane to have an idea of the gain. |

And we don't know 100% what Audi is capable of with this year's R10. They mostly(presumably) did race setup. But then again, in qualifying, they ran 3:30's, and Kristensen last year ran a 3:31 in the race.

Good day for the vettes... A C6 on the top...What a good surprise! The yellow cars seem to be very "easy" this year. It's the first time they keep the lead during a practice session( what a flying lap by Mag', too bad he has been switched to the 63 car ), and only a damper change on the 63 car during the test day...
Can't wait for "on the track" pics of the Corvettes... |

Henri expects LMP1P race pace to be 3-4 seconds slower than LMP1D. Pescarolo is also convinced Audi was sandbagging and not showing their ultimate pace. The #16 Pescarolo suffered some gearbox problems. Xtrac will have to look into that. source: http://www.endurance-info.com/article.php?sid=3696 |

Yes, but at LeMans he seems a little bit faster than O'Connell and Fellows...At LeMans, the 64 car has always been faster than the 63 car, and the Gavin/Mag/Beretta line-up was always first. This trio was damn fast...What a pity GM have broke it! |

I think the guys at Audi will realise that they can laugh not earlier than at the end of the 24 hour race.
Maybe Peugeot also limited the torque.. |

Yeah, I somewho doubt all the cards on the table yet....although Audi are still the favourties, they shouldn't get too cocky...
Porsche look strong in GT2, at this stage...it will be equally as interesting to see if the Ferrari/Panoz/Spyker guys can change this round |
