Hope one of them is mine -I,ve sent off entry to championship and entry to Brands - just awaiting reply
Two questions
1.Is the eligibility scrutineer going to check cars over at first round ?

2. Are there any special deals going to be organised for the ferries to the french meeting ? I,ve found a ferry company that,ll do dover to Dunkirque on the friday, and backon the monday for £118 return for car & trailer & 2 passengers ( car & trailer up to 13m ) before i contact them and try and negotiate (supposed 2000K limit ) do BARC negotiate any deals ? If not I coud talk to ferry company about bulk booking - any ideas ?

3 Astras -

One's His Lordship's - the so called Astra GSR (R?, not GTE, or GSi?)

One's mine (which is an Astra if you close one eye, squint with the other, and wear very dark glasses),

The third? I know naaaaaathing, naaaaathing. Phil, over to you.....

Alan, yes, one of the Astras is yours.

I do not know what is happening regarding ferries for Croix. I will find out and post to the forum when I get an answer.

Ferries

Try www.norfolkline.com and enter in details - length , weight etc
they don't take coaches or footpassengers, so probably a bit more basic than the others, but still coming in at £118 for me - even with increased weight typed in - a bit better than the £400+ from Eurostar - try the motorhome - see what prices you get- I,m going to book as soon as I know car likely to be in one piece for nthe trip
good luck - What class is the Astra running in ? Mines only a group N GSI, so I'll be running in class C - Give me a wave as you lap me !

I think there is going to be enough of us to book a complete ferry,or very nearly. Some bloke called Jason who drives a Fiesta suggested it,I will try and make some enquiries, any idea how many are going anyone.

To help with planning, here is the provisional timetable (it's a BARC HQ event so subject to change...). I am assuming that all times are CET.

Friday 1/7 all day "Free" Practice
Saturday 2/7 10:40 T&R signing on
10:55 T&R Scrutineering
12:10 T&R Qualifying
Sunday 3/7 09:05 T&R Race 1 (first race of the day)
15:05 T&R Race 2 (penultimate race of the day)

Saturday will be pretty hectic - there are 7 races scheduled for the afternoon. Track licence allows 38 cars to practice and 32 cars to race.

Coming back to Brands 16th April quickly. Who has sent their money in to be counted on the grid? How many have we got, or does Pete Thurston cruise and collect the flag?

To date, 8 T&R entries for Brands on the 16th. The 3 in class A are a certain WRC Escort, a 5.7 litre Mercedes CLK and a Rover V8 engined escort.

SO, get yer entries in sharpish or I will have to get out my book on making threatening phone calls!

I will be at Brands on the 16th with my Mini.I know of a few other people that want to play but as of yet they have had no entry forms or registation conformation.

Are the race dates that are in the regs now final as I keep being told that some of them are changing.

As soon as I get forms, I'll endeavour to get 'em back in.

All I need then is to get the varmit car finished!

If anyone has not received entry forms for Brands April 16th and subsequent Track and Race rounds please send a fax to Claire Williams on 01932 248116. It is only the Brands date in the summer which is moving, details will be confirmed soon. There will be two races for £165 entry fee on the 16th.

Referring to the T&R entry fees: Its the supermarket theory "stack em high, sell em cheap" In other words base your costs on a full grid not half a grid!
