XJR14/WSC95 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Is a Spyker Ferrari a possible future competitor GT1/GT2?

With the Spyker MF1 Team racing with Ferrari Engines in there F1 car next year and talk that the deal to run the F1 engines is also related to Spyker having a new production car which will also have a Ferrari motor. Is there potential for Ferrari powered replacement for the C8 in the not too distant future?

It's not an outrageous suggestion is it? But would Ferrari want an competitor in the roadcar market to use their engines?

Ferrari already supply Spyker for one of there road cars. I can't remember which one but i'm sure that someone here will remember.
Both parties have already said that the F1 engine deal is in no way linked to any GT projects.

Really? I was under the impression that Spyker has also used Audi engines for its production cars: V8 and W12.

Audi supplies the engines.

When there were rumours about Spyker MF1 using Ferrari engines there were also rumours Spyker will use Ferrari engines in their new SUV. Don't know if this was PR talk or reality. From business point of view IMO it's better to use the same brand of engines for all their road cars because of customer support, etcetera.

IMO it's to early to step up to GT1 (or LMP1/LMP2). First they have to win LM or the LMS championship.

what about going the other way...Spyker F1 is an overt way for Audi to get into F1...unlikely but you never know...

Re the Spyker SUV - how did they manage to build something so ugly esp. when their cars are such beautiful machines...did no one look at it before they launched it???

Spyker and Ferrari share an investor wich has significant stakes in both companies.

Can't wait to see the GT1 version of the SUV. Maybe Porsche could provide some competition with the Cayenne - for the ugliest, most pointless car award!

Ferrari are way too snobby to go giving away their engines to Spyker. Enzo would turn in his grave!
Witness the way they do not consider Pagani a valid competitor because they don't make their own engines!

Within the family (Fiat, Lancia, etc) doesn't count!

This investor (from the Middle East) has fewer shares in Ferrari than Fiat does.
