Peugeot gave a very good race and one of the best sketches I've seen at Le Mans.

Does anyone know if Porsche had changed the specification of the fuel pumps on the 911's before the race?

I can't believe that the problem didn't show up in testing.

Just to clear up a bit of confusion: Did Ara slip on oil dropped by the KSM car?

@jab,

Do you have a link to a higher resolution picture of the Pescarolo Sport Peugeot crashed tub? I'd love to see the engine in more detail.

They....crashed....my....precious...

And the results for the RSR's are just shocking, I don't think the victory for Essex can compensate for what is probably a very bad aftertaste from this years race for the guys from Weissach...

They sure turned a car you guys let go of with an impeccable pedigree into a second-rate pile of junk, didn't they Robert?!

I don't think the accident was Ara's fault, though there seems to be some confusion whether he spun on fluid from the KSM car, or if he was dropping fluid on his own tyres at the time. At any rate, the problems with the Goh car (after Maassen clobbered the kerbs?) rather robbed the P2 fight of its teeth and, in the end, it was another case of walking wounded, not to take anything away from Speedy in particular.

About the TV coverage this year - I vaguely remember some statement from last years race about every car being hooked up with onboard cameras for 09, which would have been awesome. Was a little disappointed to only see onboards for the peugeots and audis, and even then I dont think they showed enough of them.

I'm so happy that Brabs won though, he's overdue for an outright win. Class win is nice but outright is just sweet!

Was again great to be there, It certainly was an entertaining race, lots of nice and unfortunately lesser things happened during the race. We were standing on the inside of the Porsche Curves when Lucas Luhr slammed his Audi # 2 in the tirewall, we were a bit scared for the driver as it was a big impact. For me one of the best achievements of the race is the seventh place finish of Charles Zwolsman ans Andre Lotterer in the Kolles Audi. They drove together without the chance of getting some sleep during the race.

Sometimes Aston Martin thought they were in a destruction derby and not a 24 hour endurance race!

If someone got time, it could be "fun" to see how many Aston/Prodrive have put off track (or gotten Stop & Go penalties!), because i remember a few with the DBR9!

I think Turner just saw a Corvette and those old juices started to flow and there was nothing he could do but punt them!
