#1 Audi wins, #2 finishes in 4th and takes the championship
Virgo and VM were again the class of the field in GT2 and P2. |

Terrific win for Nishy! Unexpected championship for Rocky and Premat and Audi! Great, exciting stuff! Virgo first again and win championship for Ferrari.

What was really encouraging to see was the 4th & 8th in GT2 by Spyker and the 7th by Aston Martin. With a little more work, perhaps both will be reasonable contenders for next year.

So who else was there?
I have a vague idea I may have walked past Ayse at one point... Fantastic viewing, especially watching the LMP1s deal with traffic thru Luffield and Club |

Witnessed my first Le Mans style race and goodness me it was far more exciting than I thought it would be!
Lola Aston- Brilliant result! Aston Vantage- superb! Was expecting it to blow up after 1/2 hour but very well done. Kudos to Kox for keeping the Modena Aston at bay early on. The corvette was a real dissapointment. Got to see the big smash by the #33 Lola. Didn't see exactly what happened but that was a big smash. Also great that the Pugs didn't run away. Well done to Audi snatching all 3 titles from Peugeot at the last. Le Mans will be hurting even more I imagine now! Only 1 more chance to beat Audi this year! No question I'm going back next year! (Plus Le Mans as well!) |

Seemed quite good from Bridge to be honest.
Anyone else see the #32 & #91 smash at Bridge? |

It may not of been the fastest around the track, but my vote for the best sounding car has to be the Lamborghini. What a sound both under braking and accelerating! Last edited by Flat12-Aircool; 14 Sep 2008 at 20:14. |

I was there.
Pit Walk was a disappointment. Because they openned the gate 10 minutes late and then they said I needed a Pit Pass, but I didn't know you had to buy one (because AFAIK it didn't say on the website) so I kicked up a bit of a fuss and they let me in They then close the pit lane 15 minutes early and I only got as far as the Strakka/Virgo Garage. I saw the Audi/Pug incident right in front of me. And it was a shame about the JWA Porsche (does anybody know why it crashed and the reason for retirement, because it still could drive I think). Also saw one of the pit stops for the Vantage GT2 from inside of the JWA garage, and my god it is loud!!!! Tom. |

Yes they f---ed up that Pit Walk thing. There were hoardes of people without tickets. I don't think many did it in the end. Why didn't they just make it like Friday at Le Mans (ie free!).

I saw JWA's Porsche tagging/being tagged by guess what?
Yes. Epsilon Euskadi number 20 wins this weeks "Lack of Imagination" prize by having an accident on all 3 days IN THE SAME CORNER! Sorry guys, missed the meeting completely, as I had to be somewhere else. |

I was there, missed the meet (sorry).
Got some pretty peachy snaps, I hope. They're all processed, and I'm uploading a bit at a time to www.flickr.com/jymp if anyone else has a gallery, let us know...I like looking and comparing mine |
