Darren Turner is already on the LM list as qualified driver. A new driver needs to do their 10 laps to be on the list. Chilton had never done his 10 laps. |

Wendlinger deserves a factory seat, but IMO RaceAlliance deserve a Le Mans slot. Did they apply? |

Well, as it's mid-March, I kinda thought we ought to use a bit of glue on this one......

I read someplace , that if a driver hasnt been there for 3 years , regardless of him being there before , he has to do his 10 laps all over again . I must admit , I never heard that before .
Any truth in it ? |

New one on me, but, knowing the ACO, entirely possible!

I suppose its to do with track changes and safety? Only guessing but that would be logical.

A really quick scan through the regs on the ACO site doesn't seem to mention this explicitly, that said article 6.1.5 of the supplementary regs basically says if you're not on the pre-approved list then you have to go to the test day. Using the entirely unscientific indicator of Giovanni Lavaggi not being on the approved list despite being a prior competitor, it might well be that your qualification expires if you don't race.

Having looked at that list, it would be interesting to know how it's compiled - it has to be based on time, surely? If I had the time I'd sit down and work out when each driver on it last raced at Le Mans, but I left my anorak at work.......

Seems like Peugout has went for 3 equaly strong cars. Compared to Audi where on paper there is a clear ranking among the 3 pairs.
Might be a good idea for Peugeout, since they probably will have reliability issues. By making all 3 cars strong, they just need one of their cars to run trouble free to challenge for the win. |

Not sure if this has been noted already, but Rick Bryan has told Endurance-Info that Terry Borcheller will join Antonio Garcia (+1) in the Modena Aston at Le Mans. The car has been upgraded and is running with 2007 AMR developments this year.
