yes!

I believe they print run was over 10,000 copies! So it's highly likely that some copies still exist!

It is possible you can have a look at the technical details of the McLaren and Brabham cars used that year, which should be in the book.

I am interested in knowing what make of gearbox, spark plugs, fuels and Lubricants that the MP4/2 and BT53 used.

I have some gaps there on my website.

Thanks!

Hi ersorniloc,

I've dug out my 1983-85 Automobile Sport and found the following:

McLaren MP4/2 - McLaren/Hewland 5 speed Gearbox, SEP carbon fibre brake discs with McLaren calipers.

Brabham BT53 - Brabham/Weissmann/Hewland 6 speed G'Box, Heatco carbon fibre discs, Girling calipers.

There doesn't seem to be much more in there, so the rest is up to the Autocourse lot!

Best of luck.

Very compehensive website you have there
I note there are quite a few gaps in your data - what else are you looking for?

I am still looking for race winners in:
French Formula 3 (Pre 1992)
Italian Formula 3 (Pre 1992)
British Formula 3 (Pre 1979)
Formula Atlantic (1974 - 1991)

As for the F1 section, I am missing some technical data of winning F1 cars.
1984 is still a problem as don't have the tech data for the champions, which I have for most other years (or at least the last 30).
