I'll have to think about that, I'm not sure what you mean by the two grub screws, I don't recall them at all. Where exactly do they go in relation to the cylinder assembly? I only recall one screw which screws in to the aluminium casting close to the outside diameter of the cylinder assembly, with the edge of the head of the screw overlapping in front of the cylinder assembly and so keeping it in the aluminium casting.

hi bob the grub screws are are about 1" from the edge of the cylinder top & bottom and go in at a angle... i think they are only for blanking galleries but i wouldnt be sure as the cylinder wil not budge!!.

thnx ian.

it just wants a coat of paint and a better radiator then its away. We don't have firm plans for 2009 yet, but don't be surprised if one of us turns up driving it in historics or URS, or maybe we will get another one and have one each, as you can see, no firm plans.

Interesting that FR cars can still command some silly prices upwards of 20K. You can buy a 2000, 2001 F3 car for that much.

A 2000 or 2001 FR won't make 20k The FR's you have seen at 20+ are about 2 years old. To compare like with like you would have to compare the 20+k with the price of a 2006 or 2007 F3.

Only 17 registrations as of last Friday, so it won't be as desperate as last year.
No obvious potential winners, choose from Ahmed Al Harthy, Kenny Andrews or as said by Honda, Brett Parris. All quick drivers with previous in BARC Renault.
If forced to predict a winner, I would put my money on Ahmed, he should feel quite pleased about that, I got it right last year and that was before Sam Hancock had even managed to get a registration.
