Ahh, the long awaited LNT Zytek(s) that Tomlinson said would debut late this year? I wonder if they will make it to Petit/Laguna as he had mentioned/hoped for earlier this year?

Does anyone think the car looks different to the Speedy car from this angle?:

http://www.flickr.com/photos/30145552@N02/2824099557/

Possibly just the lack of the intake scoop (speaking of which, does it have snorkels?), but the roof section behind the cockpit seems longer.

Whoops, missed the LH side snorkel in this picture:

Is it possible the Zytek is the Corsa 07S Q10, and they've simply repainted it in preperation for PLM?

Wait a second, why are they running the number 28? Do they have to switch numbers because it's a new car?

In Marshall Pruett's Zytek article a few weeks, it was said by someone at Zytek that being that they now had an American full time team, they had no need to come over with their own factory team anymore.

I hope the BK car has this same setup because the car looks a LOT better without the roof intake!

I was just thinking I might be able to identify the Zytek by who was driving, but the driver has a solid white helmet.

Thank you ever so much!

Do you have a newsletter I can subscribe to?

Say; it seems a tad unclear to me, if it is the physical MG Lola chassis that has been updated, or it is indeed a B08/80?

RML has 2 B05/40s. HU03 was the Judd powered car and was only used in 2005. HU05 was the AER/MG powered car they've used in 2006-present.

I presume it's a B08/80 cockpit and tub with a rear end, with probably the B05/40 nose, floorpan, and lower bodywork.

The question remains - how much benefit will the parts they have make: Will they be as quick or quicker than the Speedy effort?

First, are we sure that a LNT/Zytek will be the "factory" team yet? And my thought is that it gives LNT time in racing conditions in the car. Which is extremely beneficial for the testing phases of this new technology that they will/are using without effecting their results for the year (09) in the LMS by just starting next spring. Also this would increase the possibility of Zytek to win the 'Green Challenge' which with their position in the hybrid technology race would/could be a major feather in the cap. This goes beyond Zytek coming over to showcase the car to potential customers, which is what Manchester was saying was not needed anymore.

Quote:
It appears that the gain of a full-time team in the ALMS will come at the expense of future factory Zytek entries at Petit Le Mans and Laguna Seca. “It was purely to showcase our product. Now we have sold our first car to the USA I see no need to continue to do this, at least for the time being. The plan now is to supply cars to customers and concentrate our effort on improving our products.”
link
So we shall see. (?)

Not to go off topic, but with everyone knowing that BK in the ALMS will switch to this chassis, imagine their current paint scheme on RML's new closed Lola, and you'll probably get what that car will look like come October.

And it does use the turbocharger snorkel that the open car uses, so that also may mean that if the new Audi that will hopefully break cover before years's end is closed(which that is yet to be determined, Herr Ulrich after all said that the car will likely be an open LMP, but that may or may not have changed after Le Mans), will likely use the R8/R10 type turbo snorkels.
