Best LMP1/LMP900/LMGTP Manufacturer of the '00s at Le Mans

Seeing as only 10 options are allowed I've decided to change subject to best LMP1/LMP900/LMGTP manufacturer of the decade. Peugeot made possibly the fastest LMP1 car of the '00s but the Audi R10 started it all & is more reliable, it even finished 7th overall this year even with Crashikeyan behind the wheel!

Audi by far , but really the R8 , R10 and R15 should be seperate choices . I would pick the R8 .

Agree with Badger - I'd vote the R8.

Not really a hard choice, but in agreement with the others the R8 was a massiv e step in the right direction for prototype's.

Bentley Speed 8, whether the R8s were sandbagging or not that year, it was a great car.

I voted for Audi, they won almost every year, how could you vote for anyone else? I also agree with the others, R8 was the big step up, although the Turbo-Diesel was also a nice upgrade.

It only did 4 races . One of which it started from the back of the grid for a tech infringement .

Good car ok , but hardly among the greats .

I'm being sentimental here, but still, you have to admire someone for taking it to the R8s with a front-engined car. The Panoz LMP-1 has my vote, period.

Gotta go with Audi of course with all their wins. The R8 for it dominance and the R10 for shutting down the Peugeots.

Honorable mention to 3 cars that did their best to get into the hair of the Audis:
- Pescarolo
- Panoz
- Racing for Holland Dome (not really a disturbance at the top but amazingly consistent)

Audi. They consistently rewrote the book on prototype excellence over the last decade.

Some other teams did a good job on much lower budgets, and some built prettier cars. but none so comprehensively redefined the level of technical preparation and execution necessary to field a competitive endurance proto.

Audi just about. They've never had huge competition until the past two seasons. But they just do their job so well.
