I am hearing that Swiss Spirit are not at the Ring. Technical problems are apparently being cited. Anyone heard the same?

...maybe they sold the car to Mr S!!

I love 04s has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Interesting results so far with some LMP2s really in the mix, surprising to see the Arena Zytek and Barazi car fair low down considering their previous outright pace....perhaps more in the locker for tomorrow?

You would hope that they have more than a bit in the tank I do sometimes wonder if a team bought a P2 RS Spyder in Europe if they coukd clean up the P2 field and race for the overall podium........

I sort of hear where you're coming from, but I think the true pace of an LMP2 around the Nurburgring is indicated more by the times of RML and Bruichladdich. It's important to remember that we've never seen a true back to back comparison between the class of the LMP2 field on both sides of the Atlantic. Granted, if Penske came to Europe they'd be a force to reckon with, but I genuinely believe that if RML went the other way they'd be right up there too.

The one thing that sticks in my mind in this vein is the Van Der Steur Radical (not a fully sorted car in anyone's book) on Kumhos keeping the RS Spyders behind it for quite a few laps at Laguna Seca last year. Maybe things are a lot closer than we think...

So the Peugeots are two seconds quicker than last years pole, while the petrol cars are no quicker, still in the 1.44's.

The P2 RML Lola is in the 1.45's, what's the betting a Penske RS Spyder could dip into the 1.43's?

Then consider what a P1 Penske RS Spyder could do...........

Maybe Peugeot and Audi aren't totally off their rocker, lol!

Hear say from Nurburgring is that the Charouz Lola is in the process of being seriously told off by the ACO.

After qualy, the car was taken to Parc Ferme where it was checked for legality....not only did the car fail when stall tested (restrictor blocked to ensure no air coming from anywhere else), the restrictor was then found to be oversize...!!! Accordingly things were checked and it was found that they have been running the same oversize restrictor ALL season!!!!!! God knows what is going to happen now but it all sounds VERY serious....talk of all points being removed etc.......!! Perhaps it could explain their pace!!!!!
