[LM24] 2010 how, where and when?

There was a great description a few years ago in the Autosport guide of the cars you see at Dover. Something about the fact that although the people clearly live for Le Mans and go every year, the cars still look as if they have been packed at the last moment and everything stuffed in. Part of the Le Mans magic for me is the organisation and the chaos, the professional and the amateur, (both from the fans and the ACO!)

It is always the same at the ferry/shuttle terminal each year the overloaded cars arrive and then someone always wants something from the boot which involves getting half of the stuff out.

Always love the small cars into which two people have packed themselves and all the gear, usually sitting there with an umberella protecting them from the drizzle. That was me once, now take a huge estate and still manage to fill just about every square inch with stuff.

Yep, one of our guys always seemed to leave his passport in a jacket in his bag under 5 others in the boot.....

It is always a strange time waiting to board the ferry/shuttle, looking at all the cars it is easy to identify the Le mans people and then seeing them on the way down, either overtaking us or being overtaken

It's just one of those little things that makes the Le Mans trip such a great experience isn't it; there are so many little moments and memories that make it real - standing there admiring the cars, I always think to myself, 'Yes! it's really here!'
