Shame. A moment of madness can happen for anyone. Whether that is a sensor, a clutch, or a stupid moment first lap out of the pits. |

from 1986 onwards very strong competition from Jaguar and later Sauber Mercedes showed up as well as japanese cars of Toyota and Nissan those were very exiting times, not to forget the cars themselves brutal monsters with no electronics, classic H-shifter , those were real drivers |

The #708 Glick is in the garage after Oliver Plat spawn out on his out lap, from looking at the incident the car just barely touched the wall. fast forward now the car is still in the garage and about 5 laps down. I do not have all the details.

Yes. Although not live as I first went in 1990.
Just pulling your leg. There is lots to enjoy. And my general point that by most measures being applied here Le Mans is boring. We get these massive gaps! Especially in the '80s. |

It's out and 14 places down from where it was. Multiple parts and suspension bits replaced at rear and nose damage. Jim seemed like everything is good and ready to run again

according to Glick, the car sustained suspension damage. That was a very costly mistake by Oliver Plat.

agree, well porsche dominated all 80's up to 1987 but porsche big advantage was to have a lot of cars in grid with at least 2 very strong backed/work teams, in general I could resume group C in: early -> mid '80: porsche late '80 -> 3.5L rule: TWR jaguar vs sauber mercedes vs porsche 3.5L early 90's: peugeot |

Hour 7 update
Position shown. #47 makes a little more progress. Comparison to the 2010 race (the record distance). They are one lap ahead. Top chart. Laps after each hour (remember it is a interger) Middle chart. Laps ahead or behind 2010. Bottom chart. Laps in the hour. Been a relatively clean race so far. Boredom index: 1986. |

buy the ACO and a time machine to make that every year Turn off and don't support any of the sponsors or manufacturers involved Turn off the TV and just ignore it exists any longer Watch the old races on YouTube every year and pretend it's live Notice how whinging on here to affect change is not on that list |

And I've decided I would not have ever been accepted as a Porsche mechanic. 99% sure me jumping on the hood of a 911 wouldn't go well but their guys just bounce right off like nothing |

Don't want to be harsh there but accidents and Olivier like each other. That was exactly the reason why he had to say goodbye to Meyer Shank last year in IMSA.
