A great event it must have been, I wasn't there (too many people, too many traffic jams etc.) but it has become the sort of event everyone wants to do.
Mostly rear wheel driven machinery on some historic Spa stages.
Shame that there wasn't a single British entrant.

Great pictures pincus.

Not the "2009 Legend Boucles de Spa", but a living legend pictured by me during the 1983 "Boucles de Spa" at a snowy Circuit Spa-Francorchamps: Any idea who it is?

Not easy to see, the photograph is small

Can be the N°11 turn (after the curve of Brussels) but the cars make the special one in opposite direction

I do not remember where it was. But the driver was pretty unknown by then. In the story for my mag I wrote something like "Watch out Rally fans, there is a new star rising!" And later he became a fourfold World champion…

I was there that year and told some friends that "that man" was going to achieve big things; something that was proven again at the Haspengouwrally the same year.

God, I'm ancient!

I'm fairly sure now (having looked at it again), that picture is not taken towards Brussels (Rivage) corner. More likely Pif Paf (or post 16) in the right way.

Pif Paf sounds familiar in connection with that pic.

BTW, I saw him already a few weeks earlier with that car, doing the 1982 RAC, but instead of white the German reg Converse Manta was blue and black by then.
