Glad you were paying attention DaveK!

But don't worry, I tried not to be too gushing in my praise!

Kev seemed quizzical about you being in two places at the same time. Except you weren't because 3 Sisters was on Saturday.

So Dave went well at Loton? In a Caterham?

I took the Force instead as the prospect of List 1a tyres again didn't appeal.

I got down to 48.75 on saturday and 49.91 on sunday ( an oil slick layed layed by an ff1600 on the 2nd practice run, from Hall to the bottom of the straight stopped any quicker times)

The FF1600 in question was Keith Harris in the Jamun. It was as DaveK says a comprehensive oil slick which certainly slowed proceedings somewhat.

So that's a new record? First 1600 in the 48s? Well done!

Was Clive out in his BDG Caterham?

I think cookie may have done a 48 in a runoff, Although it will stand as the record for next year ( great for leaders points NOT)

Clive didn't turn up with the car as it wasn't ready, although he was there on sun to watch and reckoned he may have it ready for 2006

I think not such a good one. It's pretty cool to hold a Loton record, especially a tough one. Lots to live up to next year now...

Another Correction!

I must first of all state that I did provide the BASIS for the item in the Sporting Scene sidebar in today's Motorsport News. However it has had radical surgery! Hence the confusion over the day that DaveK set his new record, which was on the Saturday.
Also the piece I submitted from Three Sisters also suffered somewhat under the Editor's scalpel! The references to 11th and 12th were amputated whilst there was some nips & tucks on the rest.
