You're saying that the performance balancing is THE culprit here for your displeasure. If that is the case, it should be causing you displeasure in EVERY other series you watch in which it is used. In other words, be consistent.
I think there is a misunderstanding here, I’m not complaining about performance balancing. I am complaining about the way it is handled in this series, there is a difference. However, I do think success ballast and driver ratings are idiotic, but that’s another post altogether.

I agree with you to a point, but I would respond with an anolgy: getting punched in the face once or twice sucks, but getting punched in the face 24 times is much worse. So the point is having one or two performance balancings is livable, but a few dozen starts to **** you off. But these are jujst our opinions, it would be interesting (but unlikely) to hear what the teams have to say about this.

From my understanding (inside source) the teams in FIA GT3 have been very, very unhappy with constant and random performance balancing this year - especially with Corvette and Lamborghini. But apart from the early moanings of Nissan, I haven't seen that many public riots in GT1.

Generally, they just have to live with it. Even if it makes no sense.

In the ALMS you get the impression anyone can win if they do a good job, in FIA GT performance balancing seems to be the determining factor between success and failure.

If they didn't do this, the Maserati's would run away with the championship every year, oh wait, they've pretty much done that so far haven't they? Consistency is key in whatever series of racing there is. Success ballast isn't new, and who are we to claim what the FIA GT series does is wrong?
