flying lizard should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
French Touring Car Championship

I wonder if anyone knows of a website that contains details of races held in the Championnat de France de Voitures Production, the French Touring Car Championship, for Group 1 style cars. I am particularly interested in races between mid 70's and early 80's.

touringcarracing.net does have some information but in certain years just quotes race winners. If anyone knows of a site, even if its in French, I would be grateful.

Hi there! Obviously it will be in french language, sorry if any inconvenient. Are you looking for a particular car/team or driver? As you say all started in mid seventies, may be '76 the cars being very close to Grp1 FIA specifications. Then it moved to Production and Superproduction. In short words, the regulations went from road going cars to silhouettes!

Mind you that NOSCAR has absolutely nothing to see with NASCAR, it was a kind of "club" created for the drivers and temas to express themselves…

I wonder if its possible to find a website containing the race results. Does this help? https://forum-auto.caradisiac.com/to...3%A9s/page/74/ The RHD 5 series pictured is an ex TWR, it still exists and belongs to a good mate!

Key words for the search are: Championnat de France de Voitures Production, just add the year you're looking for.

Cant remember the year it started but you'll find two different grids, one being for Under 1600 cc cars.

You're welcome. If you're looking for a particular car or driver, let me know I'll try to help. Fact is that when the Production championship started, thanks to Claude Ballot Lena, Claude issued a short list of 10 then 20 drivers he'd like to see in his grid. I was in the short list but too much in love with my 3.0 RS to follow. C'est la vie!
