David Hobbs Lotus Elite Hobbs Mecha-Matic
I would like to add this car to my collection in two versions;
1. Jim Clark at Daytona1962.
2. David Hobbs Nurburgring 1961.
I have suggested to Spark that they would be good subjects but had no response.
I recently bought some cheap Ixo Lotus Elites on Ebay which I will strip and respray red.
I am planning to have some decals printed . Is anyone interested in these decals?? If so please let me know.

The David Hobbs Elite project is taking shape. Maurizio Colella is going to print the decals. I have sent him some pictures . David Hobbs has sent me several pictures and also I have his book. I also have seen a YouTube video of the Daytona race when Jim Clark drove.

But I am still looking for more pictures of the rear of the car.

Just looked at the book. The picture of us outside the shell station with the Elite on the trailer. The back panel with the registration plate looks black, that is all blue, the stripe widens out to fill the panel. Blue not black.

Not sure if the seats and dash were black or grey.
Progress on the 5 Ixo elites I bought on Ebay. They have been stripped and I have filled holes no longer needed. The bodies are now red.
