But there are so many bland colour schemes aren't there? Its good to see something different from time to time. Remember that terrible "tiled" Venturi?

We don't mention enough the 1991 Mazda in that thread ( )...
And the 1988 Jags, the most beautiful sporstcar at my taste... Last edited by Fab; 16 Mar 2003 at 10:58. |

The Mazda was definitely striking - they used it in '92 as well, when they ran their version of the XJR14 (MX01?). Always liked the Jags, though I think I preferred the later (1990) livery without the Yellow stripe. Picky I know, but it looked a bit more sophisticated!

i think i'll add the 2003 Bentley, although i was unsure at first i now love it, it looks like a beast and in British racing green as well, what could be better (except a GT40 in gulf colours)

Well, we'll let you off the Spyker
And as for British cars - well, we've built some good ones over the years. |

I'm new at this so you may just see a big blank .........
My Favourites are Martini Lancia LC2 , Rothmans Porsche 956 , Gulf McLaren F1 GTR and ( whisper it ) Cor Euser's Multi cloured Marcos LM600 . An outsider would be the Bovis Aston Martin Nimrod. Having said that, anything British Racing Green ................. |

Yeah, I think we're going from the best looking to most...eye-catching. Or, put another way, from the sublime to the ridiculous.

Ridiculous in terms of BEST LOOKING. They're both fantastic machines and I always hoped that Cor would stick the Marcos amongst the Vipers and Porsches, but beautiful it isn't/wasn't.
The later Speed 12 was better compared to the trully ugly original, but not on a par with some of those already mentioned, such as the McLaren F1, XJR Jaguars or Ferrari P4. No offence intended! |

Maybe slightly off the point, but whatever happened to Cor Euser and the rainbow Marcos? I always kind of liked it (and hearing a Marcos was out of this world), but I thought they'd be more successful; after all, take a mighty Chevy V8, and, basically, wrap it in cling-film - hey presto! the Marcos LM600. As I recall, it was mighty in qualifying in the 1998 FIA GT series, but ran on Dunlops which tended to fall apart during endurance races.

The Car appeared in the EuroGT race supporting DTM at Donnington last year , so its still going. It Won the second of two races that weekend and still seemed to have some speed, although the field was pretty thin ( couple of Vipers, 4 or 5 Porsche GT2 )
