That would be cool. He spends a stupid amount of money on that operation, and has the worst luck. How many times has he dropped out of the lead at the Daytona 24 in the last 20 years? Maybe, he can have some luck at Le Mans.

Im sick to death of hearing that Dyson will do Le Mans ..... nice thought though .

Why he never did Le Mans with his R&S beats me . He had the best R&S MK.III out there .

i do hope you feel for the poor bloke (kid?) (me) who can't afford the expenses of getting there, and never seems to find a cost effective way.
So please, don't make me feel bad! *sniff*

MiniMangler,

Keep an eye on the forums here, on Pistonheads and Club Arnage, you must be able to cadge a lift with someone from the UK.

With the general entrance tickets being so affordable (£40-odd) it's a good value week.

Camping will be, at most, a half share of another £40.

so then it is just fuel and beer money (if you'll be 18 by next June )

Stick a few quid in a jar each month until June and you'll be sorted.

Here's the communication from the ACO.

As usual, the ACO has included the word 'provisional' in the text!

Booking opened this June after the test day.

They'll confirm your allocation (ie. what you'll get) in the New Year sometime.

Tickets dispatched some around Test Day '07.

In short, get your order in ASAP.

F308 MAN should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
I posted this on Club Scuderia earlier today, in response to a rather cheap CS being offered for sale in "Autotrader"
I was hoping it would rather p1ss you all off. (only joking)

Having only driven a modern ferrari for an hour the day before, I was kindly offered the keys to a CS on saturday ...I replied with "but i've never driven an F1 before" ... "it's easy", came the reply.

So, there i was, sat in the pit lane at Le Mans, the mecca for many of us motor racing fans.
Ignition on, pulse racing, stomach churning .... button pressed - "f**k" me, i whispered to myself ... down the pit lane i go, helmet struggling to contain my huge smile.
Controller says "Go" and it's off down the circuit entry lane, and then within seconds it's "Wow !" and then under the Dunlop bridge and then goodbye to the traditional 24 hour circuit section.
A minute or so and the butterflies have gone ..... unbelievable, as car and driver begin to gel, but it's only the first lap so let's be sensible.
End of the first lap, and driving past the grandstand, flat out and hitting the limit in every gear ... incredible sensations !
Second lap, really enjoying this now ... feeling comfortable ... comfortable enough to pass three cars on the second lap.
A few more laps see further improvement in both the racing lines and general coordination of man and beast.
Time to pull in.
Once on the exit lane and into the the pits, i struggle to see, due to the wee tear of emotion .... It does'nt get better than this.

I am awaiting for the guys at Dess Vehicle Management to get back to me on the above CS ....

cheers, d
(sorry, can't/don't know how to post pics)

Last saturday, there were no visible track works from tetre rouge to the porsche curves, on the "public" section
Likewise, there were no track improvements ongoing to the areas within sight of the control tower.
The main square in Le Mans however, was a total mess.
cheers, d

We were told on good authority, that all of the tramway works would be complete prior to next year's race.
Based upon my own engineering/construction background, I find it difficult to believe.
