The fencing sucks, but forces you to get inventive

It sure does. I was trackside most weekend, but some shots you need to be the other side...

debris fencing

disapointingly Mallory has succumbed to a length of debris fencing at the end of the back straight (Stebbe ?). this used to be a good spot to shoot the pack bearing down on the Esses on the first lap. To make matters worse they've attached advertising banners to the fencing so you cant shoot through it !

On the other hand, if you get yourself to the inside of the Circuit behind the scrutineering bay, you can get so close to the circuit, a standard lens can be used for quite close unimpeded shots.

I would think this area is about as close to the track as you can get for any Circuit in this country
(possibly too close)

I agree there are some good close up locations at Mallory. The apex of the Devils Elbow is one - see attached.
Enjoy the lack of debris fencing while you can; it can't be long before it infests circuits like Cadwell,Mallory,Goodwood etc.

I love the Bus Stop when the bikes are about. Not been for a while though.

Re the Stebbe catch fencing? Do they WANT people to come watch, or what...?

I assume the new fencing is as result of the rallycross circuit.

The only fencing I am aware of is actually around the esses.

I took plenty of photographs at the exit of Edwinas's (from the outside) at the rallycross without too much trouble.

Has anyone got any photos of the #33 Speedy Sebah Lola crash at the end of the race and the #95 JWA Porsche?

Probably not only when you take into account that the whole Nürburgring-Nordschleife was put into a cage last year

I have plenty of the JWA Porker, and have seen pics elsewhere of the post startline incident. Can't remember where, though.

Who wants the Porker pics, and for what? I may need to charge...

It's just me that wants the pics Tim, I was working for JWA at Silverstone, and want to see if I can spot myself in any of the pics.

Ah, so pit/paddock stuff. Most of mine are trackside, so I assume you aren't in them?

Yeah I guess they would be pit/paddock stuff. Do you know if you have any of the JWA Porsche, when it got hit by the Advanced Engineering F430 near the end of the race?

Tom

there is a shot of the Lola with bodywork flying around in the LMS yearbook.

I shoot for Paul so have a ton of stuff of the car in action and in the pits.

PM me to discuss further.

This one:

Shame it isn't zoomed out a bit more Then I should be in shot, looking through one of the gaps in the pit fence (to the left).
