Sao Paulo weather

Forecast online Looks like it's probably going to be dry. And hot. Michelin Weather! Williams Weather! JPM Weather! Most likely anyway.

I reckon if it rains Schumacher would use the F2001. If it's dry he'll have to risk the F2002. Despite the long straight the track does have lengthy slow/medium speed sections - a good opportunity for Mclaren to stir things up, even with their horsepower defecit. If you include Renault that makes six drivers with a good chance of keeping Schumi off the podium.

Cheers. Certainly could help the Michelin runners. Either of teh tyre companies could turn up with something special though, it's very unpredictable. However, as you say, you've got to fancy Michelin being the most likely to be on top.

Has anyone seen any wet testing recently, have Michelin made any progress with their wet-weather tyre?

Has anything ever come of the non-symmetrically grooved Michelens? Last I heard, they were asking the FIA to make the groove ruling clearer.

I think the latest weather forecast suggests a slightly different situation. this is from F1-live:

from www.f1-live.com
With raining falling already this week, the chance of further storms over the three day weekend are high with humidity currently sitting at 94%.

Maximum temperatures aren't expected to climb over the 30 degree centigrade mark, however overcast conditions are definitely on the agenda for all three days. For day one tomorrow, the opening practice sessions of the weekend, the weatherman has predicted a high of 28 degrees with a low of 19 and cloudy skies overhead.

For qualifying, the conditions should remain the same, humid, warm and the possibility of rain. For race day the temperature should drop by a degree or two, but despite clearing up slightly from the rain here yesterday, the overcast conditions are expected to stay.
I suppose it will come clearer as we get nearer!

If it is going ot rain. How good are the Michelin wets and inters?

If it rains in qualifying, then the Michelin runners can forget it. Last year, Bridgestone were very strong in the wet - I think they have a new tyre for this race, so if it rains then its Ferrari front row - and everyone else fighting for 3rd.

Weather forcasts are messed up though. Probably an accurate forcast would be available Friday night.
