thanks team Owner , i didnt really know much about roger but reading that article he certainly was a star of the glory days.

Sounds like he was a great racer in his day, and had a big impact in the direction Indy racing took in those days. He deserves attention, and certainly deserves the correct spelling of his name (Rodger) in the title.

I met Mr. Ward a few years back at Indy...such a lovely, kind, and gracious man
The news is not unexpected but very sad, all the same. RIP, Mr. Ward |

Truly one of the greats. When you read about these gentlemen you realize how closely triumph and tragedy are associated with the 500.
