I managed to catch the IRL race at the new kentucky speedway last night ..this was the first time i have seen this track and while i know most people here loathe the IRL ..(so dont worry im not gonna ramble on about the actual race)..the track looks awesome and they got 60,000 people in there with apparently no problems at all..the track gave some excellent racing ..and i was very impressed with the whole facility (on TV anyway)..Jacques lazier and Sam Hornish jnr side by side for at least 8 laps was just an indication that the track is good enough to pass on..thumbs up from me and does anyone know if CART plan to run a champcar race there at all..because they should be brilliant there ???

kuchi should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Well i think is a good track, but is very similar to texas, where cart will race next year, and ad on the new tracks on europe are ovals, so kentucky is not on cart plan for at least 2 years.

Yeah, It is an excellent track. Great speed and lots of passing. The #6 car was the one to beat until Eliseo Salazar came down and took his racetrack away. That Kroger car was FLYIN!!!

"the track looks awesome and they got 60,000 people in there with apparently no problems at all."

They must have made great strides since thier first race about 2 months ago(nascar trucks). They had to turn ticket holders away because of the traffic.

imho, Kentucky is better thanb Texas(and a lot more like Vegas), because the banking is not as steep, and the front straights, instead of having a double dogleg and 0 banking like TMS, is arc-ed and has some banking. Perosnally, I found it incredible TMS could produce side by side racing in that irl race, and am confident it was a fluke, which is why I think it's not wise for CART to go there. A track like Kentucky or Vegas would be much better and more conducive for side by side racing.
