Marcos IS faster than Skaife.
I was having a discussion on another Forum regarding Skaife and his dismal year so far, when a Red supporter argued that Skaife has been faster than Marcos all year and was just suffering bad luck. In fact, many people on many Forums have been saying the same thing. So I decided to do some number crunching to get the facts.
Of 19 races so far this year, Marcos had a faster lap time in 12, that's 63% of the time. Practice, Qualifying and shootouts don't win Championships, Races do. |

This is not a Skaife bash. It is simply a comparison of speeds between 2 drivers over 19 races so far this season.

I think that it should be the other way round. Senor Skaife IS faster than young boy Ambrose. The way Skaife that is not on top list is that he has had bad luck. The worst was last year when the HMS engine was an advanced prototype and the HRT boys would always have engine problems. So, in my view, Ambrose is fast, but, Skaife is faster.
