The book is published

Just a few weeks before "Beaujolais nouveau", the yearly book written by J.-M. Teisseidre and C. Moity "les 24 heures du Mans" is available from all good shops. I received it this morning ; (please, note that i don't receive posted bottles at home...)

This year :
- LM 1923,
- Ricardo and Pedro Rodriguez,
- the lap of Paul Frère in the R8R.
And as usual, excellent pictures and presentation.

a little bit of research revealed this from the official Beaujolais site
"Heat, sunshine and low yield are the characteristics of the 2003 vintage. These three criteria are a quality guarantee for the consumer, already heralding an exceptional vintage."
looking good

IMHO, Beaujolais nouveau = dodgy

Better pay attention on Jasnières or Anjou Rouge, if you wish...

And - huh - let's come back to the thread or Ayse will fire us for - another - "food and wine" deviation...

but surely the greatest sporting event in France, if not the world, and food & wine are inextricably linked?

I don't see how you can have any thread about Le Mans or France in general without having some mention of food and wine. The terms/words are inextricably linked.......
