What's this device on the Audi wheel ?
Sorry to be a pain, but does anybody know what is this device on the Audi wheel ?

It looks to be something to check the aliagnment with. I've seen something like that before....

Let's hope that the France Family doesn't read this Forum...
since their fans enjoy watching cars "swap paint" and bang doors, they may add these beauties as "standard racing equipment" so that the competitors have the option of "ripping sidewalls of tires" while they're banging into each other |

Laser Alignment tool...mucho dinero and Audi will only give them out to who they feel should have them. I.E Champion, and Audi UK

It is interesting that it seems to be attached using bolts seperate to the center wheel nut, I wonder if they use special wheels for it?

As has already been said earlier, I'd guess at a camber gauge or toe gauge, but more expensive (also already said) and more accurate than the old fashioned bits of fishing line on a couple of poles!

From what i was told, it's exactly the same kit that you will see in any Audi dealership!!!! Seems if it's good enough for them, then it's good enough for the race team!

Thanks for the answers ; that's the only cars (Champion had them too, if I can remember, but Goh was too far, I didn't see the car with it) I saw with this kind of device...
