...but despite the car saying Harvey on the side it's Howell who's to race the third car for the first 4 meetings at least.

Seen it suggested elsewhere perhaps it's for a TV feature?

So much for the last minute entries from Xero, GA/Quest, etc that some people were still predicting last week. I'm not convinced by the extra TBA entry from Team RAC / WSR. They did something similar in previous years and baring a minor lottery win I doubt the seat will get filled.

As I've already in the previous thread, it's a big improvement on last year but still could be better. It all depends on if tailenders are too far off the pace or not.

What kind of TV feature would involve a stationery/-ary car?

Last year we had the 3 VXs, 3 SEATs, 2/3 TDs and Collard up the front, Kaye was a bit behind and the backmarkers were way behind (Williams, Curley, Leggate and Proctor).

I reckon this year the "class B" - Kaye, Hughes, Pinkney, Proctor, Bell, M. Smith, Leggate and Pinkney will be a lot closer to the front.

Obviously the front-runners should be: Neal, Plato, Chilton, Turks, Collard, Giovanardi, Thompson and Howell. I'm a bit undecided whether G. Smith, Turner, Shedden and Jordan will consistently be at the front. But I reckon the field will be closer in any case.

I think that the new livery looks great, the green works well with the red.

More pics of the cars on track on the official site - you have to register but you only need to give an email address with your name.

Problem was that for the first half of the season Williams, Curley and Proctor were not only way behind everyone else but also not close enough to each other to produce a decent 3-car scrap. The 13 car entry effectively became a 9/10 car race.

Hopefully no such problems this year. The only question mark I have so far is Bell and Smith, but only because both car and driver are unknowns in BTCC terms (although we already know Bell is more than capable).

Your 'class B' prediction sounds about right. Hopefully they will be close enough to each other give us a good class B battle.

More photos appearing on btcc.net as we speak (or as I post)! Wow - have you seen how bright those MGs are?! And the overalls are the same, don't look directly at them!

Its the orange I've always felt Halfords should use.

Is it just me or do the Halfords overalls look yellow? I thought it was just compared to the brighter RAC colours, but even looking at the photo of Neal and Shedden next to the Integra, they look yellow and pale!

Looks not bad. It's good to see external sponsors coming on board.

It's a shame they didn't mix the orange with blue like on www.rac.co.uk.

I think the Vauxhall livery's a good job considering the colours they have to use.

Compared to that green and red used on Leggate's car anyway! She ran one of my favourite liveries of last year, probably worst this time.

I think the MG's are missing the blue because, well, that's just for the site. The cars look like the vans, that's the whole idea.

As for the entrylist, a fair size list - back to 2004 size at least, a season without the Vauxhall domination - probably

No real suprises there, I am not a fan of the new Vauxhall Livery. The only real question left to be answered is who is the 3rd driver at WSR/Team RAC.

I actually quite like the new Vauxhall livery as it's a refreshing change from years of red and white, and the green isn't in your face at all.

Decent grid by the looks of things.

Although a lot of liveries leave a lot to be desired! What have they done to the Vauxhalls?

A capture of the live timing is here right now: http://www.sportsync.net/sportsyncac...imingTOCA.html

Some of the drivers getting a lot of time in, notably Chilton and Shedden - 91 laps each!

They could do with identifying the two Smith's by more than just there numbers.
