cartpix should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Long Beach Pix

I know this isn't the right forum to post links to pictures, but it is Champ Car related. Here's the pix from Monday. I will have Tuesday's up, as soon as my editor has a chance to look at these & download what he needs. I'm still getting used to the new camera system, so look at the large not the original size.

Hi Cartpix,
Thanks for posting the pictures....very nice!!! Can you tell me who this guy in the red shirt is standing with RHR? http://www.champweb.net/v2_gallery/v...2004_00&id=101
JJ (Jeremy) thought he looked very familiar and so do I.

Cheers

Great Jeff!

Very nice shots - particularly the candid portraits at the press conferences.

And what the hell is going on with good taste and architecture in California? These things are hideous: http://www.pbase.com/image/26771311 and http://www.pbase.com/image/26771312 !

Constructive criticism (from someone that knows much less than you...): I think in some of the press conference shots you used lenses of too long focal distance for the range of your flash, and they look kinda sepia (that means, you were shooting from too far - I did the same thing in many of mine).

Those streaks of sunlight at the hotel lobby were a pain, weren't them? (and you dealt with them much better than me). Also, it would have helped a lot if they had covered the fancy carpet (plenty of shapes and twirls) with some cream-coloured velvet or somethink alike.

Additionally a two-side curtain (like an L) behind the cars would have been much better than a single one - there were always some dudes in the background! (but at least no cranes this time )

I am uploading my pictures now - nothing comparable to your work, of course!

Cheers,

Muzza

Thanks guys. As for the guy in the red shirt, I'm thinking Chris Resta, Rahal's new Atlatic driver. After seeing Campweb's shots, mine aren't so bad. When I compare my stuff, with LAT photogs, I really get down on myself. Expect better from the Long Beach Grand Prix, though.

Hello again, Jeff,

The first pages of ChampWeb album were taken with a digital snapshot only for "stop the presses" purposes.

The hot stuff is mid-page five onwards...

I have more to upload, but my computer is so freaking painfully slow!

Cheers,

Muzza

That is the guy that did that horrible tumble into turn 1 turnworkers station in Portland in 2002. He was in Barber Dodgem's.. I do not remember his name!
