I will be there - and many on this forum will too (I will let them speak out).

By the way, some of us have exchanged private messages about a meeting at The Yard House on Friday night. Everybody - and your wives, husbands, dogs and brother-in laws - is most welcome.

Sue,

What a pity, but I am sure you will be at your "home race", won't you?

Oh most definately!!! I go to the Cleveland one every year...in fact most of my huge family volunteers at the race!! It's pretty cool...I think I am gonna volunteer there this year...just have to get the time off work!!

I am also planning on going to the Vegas race...I wouldn't miss that one for the world!! If anyone from the forum is going to that one I would love to meet up with everyone for a or two or three or four or five!!

I'll be there. Lots of pictures. I'll have to shoot at least 1,000, to keep up with Mags.

Reliable sources within the rumour mill are stating that I am very likely to be starting the season on a very high April 18 in Long Beach. Though still in the process of final negotiations and arangements these sources can be quoted as saying "an official announcment will be coming in a matter of only a few days".

Have I read that somewhere before?

Ok, we will start earlier - but the curfew, around 3:30 a.m., will stay the same...

Me and some other 10-10thers will be at the event in a semi-official capacity, but whether we will be able to join you, we don't know. We don't have a Friday schedule yet so we don't know how long we will be working that day -- Friday is often a long day for us.

The worst part is that I've been told what station I'll be at, and I can SEE the Yard House from there. So maybe all I can do is wave in your general direction.

And send you smileys:

keke

PS. If we do make it over, we'll be the grubby ones in white. LOL

Hey, racerkeke,

Do you know whether racegypsy will be able to make it? That's another fellow I would like to meet...

Cheers,

We have our fingers crossed that he will be there, but he will have to be a (gasp) spectator, since I suspect he can't do much standing. So maybe he'll go to the Yard House and hang out with you guys while we're getting grubby.

Not likely. Last week's sugery required additional work. Scheduled release was WED, 24 MAR.

On the other hand, I am going to try and make it and join "the grubby ones in white".

Hey, thebear,

Please send our best wishes to racegypsy - hope he gets well soon (and that you can make it down here). You "guys (and gals) in white" tell us when you are available and we plan accordingly.

suzmac,

We surely will have one for you. If everything goes well this time norman-normal will not be kicked out from The Yard House for shouting my name!

Cheers,

Muzza

Muzza I'm thinking that norman-normal needs to quit doing that everywhere he goes!! I wonder if he does that when you are NOT around????

Sue

BTW, when do you think you'll come to Cleveland with the other forumers...is that a word???

We had planned a Ten Tenths gathering at Cleveland in 2002, but it did not happen...

For the time being Cleveland is out of my plans for this season, but hopefully other people will show up. There are many Ohio-based members in this forum.

Hi Muzza-- the "tentative" schedule I've received from a Champ car official shows the Historic GP cars (which I WANT to see) from 4:55 to 5:15 on Friday, then Pace Cars from 5:20 to 5:50...normally those of us in white are needed for the pace cars but RacerKeke and I can probably get away around 5:30. I'll also be close to the Yard House (at turn 6), although there is a bit of racing surface to cross!!
