Yes, you miss something. If BAR sells it intellectual property, BAR will have to design a whole new car. That wouldn't make much logic.

I think he was actually right, BAR would sell Aguri the intellectual rights for the 2005 car, not their new 2006 car...

Exactly.

Ping, they are already producing a 2006 car. Selling the 2005 rights would simply mean that design gets another year of racing.
