The requirement is that the design be owned by said team (which does not necessarily mean they have to have come up with it), and then that they produce it (which just means they cannot buy tubs from a supplier).

Yes, you miss something. If BAR sells it intellectual property, BAR will have to design a whole new car. That wouldn't make much logic.

He claimed that they are not Honda 'B' team,they are independent team from honda even using their V8 engine

FIA entry have been applied however they didn't name any drivers in the press confrence

I think he was actually right, BAR would sell Aguri the intellectual rights for the 2005 car, not their new 2006 car...

Ping, they are already producing a 2006 car. Selling the 2005 rights would simply mean that design gets another year of racing.
