The Annual Le Mans Weather Thread
I have just been looking at the long range weather forcast and the news is not good, there is a chance we might get some rain.

I once read that the phrase "tomorrow's weather will be the same as Today's" stood more chance of being accurate than any calculated forecast.

Also check http://www.weather.com and http://www.metcheck.com both of which seem to change their minds everyday. So pack brollies and suncream as usual.

just 2 days ago the predictions were 26/27 degrees and sunshine, with thunderstorms possible sat. night... im not too worried yet tbh.

weather forecasts beyond 48 hours do not have my minimum trust. I will check Thursday night before departing.

I can't remember ever seeing lightning at Le Mans (except driving down on Friday night in 1998 - that was spooky at 3am!)

Was only there for about 24 hrs this weekend and now back in England....but yesterday afternoon was very hot! This morning was cooler. England's cooler still though.

Ayse, check my link again. On pain of a ban, I got the powers that be to change the weather to 'Partly Cloudy'. Humblest apologies, but they couldn't manage blazing sunshine - it was all used up last year

obviously, it's going to be very hot, thus bringing risks for thunderstorms (doesn't mean it will actually rain at Le Mans)

Bernard's referring to the Village at the circuit near the pits (shops/bars/food outlets etc.) where we've got the 10 Tenths meet on Sat/Sun. The old Village has been demolished (along with most of the beautiful big old shady trees) and replaced with a new modern Village which appears to be devoid of shade since the old trees have been replaced with saplings!
