Yes I'm in too, my umpteenth. hope the weather is better as I wont have my brother's 4x4 this year. Yes there is a lot of time wasted but it can still be fun and the camp site is usually very welcoming. BUT, if you display flags on your tent or caravan, bolt them down or some unsavoury barsteward will nick them!
Anyone else think the return postcards show too much personal information, in these days of identity theft etc, why is our name, address, date of birth, fone numbers, email address etc shown for all to see? I returned mine in an envelope.

I sent mine back in an envelope too as it has all the answers to security questions you would get asked!

Im just hoping the weather is better. Also hoping i'm on flatter ground, was sick of waking up at the other side of my tent!

Anyone know if we can purchase extra tickets that allow extra family on to the campsite?

I've offered my guest pass to a friend, he had a couple of questions.
Will it allow him into a grandstand or specific viewing area, if so where and where can he camp?
New to all this so please give me the idiots guide!
Thruxton or Brands I know but Planet Silverstone/GP I don't!

He can camp in the marshals camp site but the ticket is for general admission only.

Thruxton or Brands I know but Planet Silverstone/GP I don't!

2 yrs ago, those marshalling on the inside had guest passes that allowed inside access too. Last year I think every guest pass allowed inside access.
It certainly gives more room to sit and watch, or lay down and fall asleep as my father in law did!

Camping... is with you on you plot, or they have to find their own rather extortionate site nearby.

ALSO... if anyone has a spare ticket.... see from the beginning of this thread I was first to ask ??? Please ??? Pretty Please ???

Susie,
If you look at the Silverstone website for the GP then anywhere which is shown as a General Admission area is available with the wristbands, just make sure they get where they want to be early (6-7am) on Sunday if they want a space at one of the popular viewing spots (Woodcote, Copse). As Gary said, depending on arrangements, there should hopefully also be infield (but not paddock) access - much less crowded. On the Friday (as long as they're not sold out - and they shouldn't be) your guest will be able to use any available grandstand seat.

Sara,
I was advised last year that as long as you have a valid admission ticket for your guest, take it with you to sign on and speak to Pam Dearn who should have some spare wristbands available. Worked ok last year for me!

I didnt apply this year as I had spent a lot of time competing and not as much as i would have liked on the banks I thought I wouldnt get in. However I received a begging letter and now I'm in!
Thanks to the folks who have offered spare passes so the kids are in also
As far as the breaks go I actually like the change from the frantic clubby stuff where you've hardly finished your reports from the previous race and its green flag for the next
