John Watson was pretty good, but Ben would get my vote.

Ben Edwards is one of the best guys out there, but why Murry and M artin we good, is because Murry handles the update stuff like times positions etc, the pleb stuff, and martin does the technical things.
One of the problems we have now is that we have technical martin, and then even more technical nerd boy James, there is no relief from "technical" for the average viewer! |

Charlie Cox.
Similar 'on-fire' style to Murray, very knowledgeable and would also go down well with the F1 fans down under. |

I'd replace the entire ITV team. Am I the only one who has the GPs on with the TV on mute and 5Live on the radio?

Had a bit of a think, came up with a shortlist....
Don't know the first bloke's name, but he's the Aussie commentator who did the Bathhurst 24 for Aussie TV last year. (Quote in thick Aussie accent "Yeah Dave, those concrete posts are really effective at correcting understeer problems!") Hear me out on this one.... Bernie E. His banter with MB on his grid walks is pretty entertaining. Colin Stancombe? Just a thought. I had a really long think about it, and sadly my best candidate could never do it because he's a team manager, but Paul Stoddart would probably do a good job. Entertaining, knows the sport back to front, a real enthusiast and has a good dry wit..... Last edited by b1ackcr0w; 16 Oct 2003 at 23:17. |

You mean the technically accurate Martin, and James, who think's he's technically accurate - Mr Allen doesn't usually know what he's talking about Having said that, he is enthusiastic, and fair play to him. He's just not my first choice to partner MB. (Or the second...) |
