It does look very similar to an LMP2. Where can I find the specs on this car, I'd like to see how different it really is from an LMP2 (aside from the heinous rear wing).
Edit: Apparently, if I read the rest of this thread I can find exactly the information I am looking for. |

Enginebay & Suspension are too heavy to allow a competetive LMP2. I think its just a cash-cow for Oreca. HdC told me its more a "LMP3" and as such a affordable car for teams who would like to have a toe in LMP-waters first. |

IMO, the ACO should have followed IMSA's lead when they created the IMSA Lites catagories. When the Lites started you could buy new chasis or you could run SCCA Sport Racers. Most competitors now run the Van Deimon/Panoz chasis, but the first year saw many of the x-SCCA cars running.
I hope this Series makes it... more sportscars the better! |

The 908 wing looks weird, but if they mounted it as such http://www.pistonheads.com/pics/news..._le_mans-L.jpg it would look fine. |

Who is supplying the engine? I'm thinking of starting a Wikpiedia article about the car as well so if any of you want to pitch in feel free.
I know The359 is quite active on wiki and could do a much better job than me. |

6.2 would be the standard LS3 V8 used in the base C6 Corvette.

The 6.2L petrol V8 is GM's domestic mainstay engine in all full size and H.P. models. Vette base C6 & ZR-1, Camaro SS, CTS-V, available in almost every Chevy, GMC & Cadillac full size P/Us, SUVs and Hybrids. A very high volume and highly developed engine, approx. 395 to 638 h.p. range in stock configs.

I cant wait to hear the V8 rumble down the straits in a prototype again, now that the rumoured Pescarolo project has been going into silence..

Group C turbos made the above almost obsolete in C1, it was only the introduction of the 3.5l formula and then the restrictor formula that allowed the above engines to return. |
