UK Formula Ford Zetec Championship 2005
Does anyone have an entry list yet for this year UK Formula Ford Championship?
I'm guessing its going to be pretty poor but I've really no idea. I heard Jamun have filled two cars and JLR have 3-4, Sarah Playfairs also signed up but beyond this I've heard nothing! |

Yep, heard that one and he surely has to be the outright favourite for the title without a shadow of a doubt, although Charlie Donnelly could run him close.
The rest of them are all little knowns, not that from what I've read there are many "rest of them's"! |

Donnelly is doing his 3 or 4 season so he surely should be favorite.

On experience I'd say yes but I think Joe is a quicker driver and is with the right team/car.
Although I can base this on little facts in terms of this season cos I've seen or heard of no testing or any times! It really is a shoddy run series! Here's hoping when Ford really come back in 2006 it can go back to something like it once was because at the moment its an embarassment! |

Question?
Should Zetec FF be discussed in this forum - as it is a "National" series - or over in the "Formula Ford" forum? |

I think here because almost all of the discussion in FF is FF1600

Hopefully its move with re-direct will get more in there |

National Zetec looks to be struggling with entries. The last list I saw had 8 registered competitors. The organisers have been e-mailing owners of cars and club Zetec competitors to offer them "guest" entries at meetings but they are charging £500 for a meeting!

The Avon National Clubman is racing with the National championship at Silverstone and Castle Combe anyway. I wonder if more of the races will be combined? Not sure what the numbers look like for the Avon National Clubman now. |

I feel sorry for Zetec runners.
That is why I tried to run a race at the BRDC Marshals' Club meeting back on March 19th. Sadly though I only had 1 entry a week before the race, so had to cancel it. With an entry fee of £50 it was a great deal. If anyone is interested in a Zetec race at the Walter Hayes Trophy I am willing to run one. We are interested in comments - send them to me at the BRDC on: James.Beckett@brdc.co.uk |

Joe has only just had his new car delivered which he won for the year, he hasnt even tested it yet. not a good way to start the new season is it.
Donelly has been quickest in donnington tests. |

That not what I have seen. He hasn't been quickest at any of the test and when I was up at Croft he was 4th. Even Sarah was faster.... |

15 according to MotorsportNews. I would love to see Sarah Playfair win this.
