I suppose this is the right thread for this news. According to the Beeb (and autosport.com for that matter), Karun Chandhok is very close to becoming a Campos driver.
They differ about the other driver. The Beeb says Bruno Senna will remain, based on assurances from his manager, whilst autosport seems to think that Lopez's bag of gold might swing the decision his way. |

So the prospect is that we'll have only 11 teams.

So when Stefan GP arrives at the circuit gates, will FOM allow them into the paddock or will they block them from entering? There almost cannot be a worse place to be locked out of the racetrack than the Sakhir desert where it's hot, sandy and you cannot park and wait for better things to come tomorrow unless your truck is full of water instead of equipment. Kurtkoy, where Super Aguri was not let in is a much friendlier place to stay. Wasn't it Charles Nickerson who flew all the way to Sao Paulo only to be shown the door?

It was Malaysia where Phoenix Finance were told they weren't welcome, IIRC.

My Favourite 08 moment was when Courtney/Besnard comeback drive at Bathurst. Courtney raced through to dominate the opening stint had 15 sec. gap to Lowndes who was in 2nd. In the 2nd stint a slowly deflating tyre (originally diagnosed as a damaged anti-roll bar) slowed Besnard's stint in Courtney's car allowing Whincup to assert dominance over the field rest of the race. On lap 160 S.Richards, fading badly on rear tyres was unable to stop Courtney move into 3rd place. |

Is that an official entry list or just speculation? It's unlikely that Stefan would be given US F1's car numbers, if they are allowed in then all the teams below USF1 on the list would be bumped up with Sefan being added at the end, or USF1's numberw being skipped (as was the case with Arrows a few years ago) and Stefan being assigned 28 & 29.

Speculation. Stefan have yet to be granted an entry.
I did ask this in the other topic but it seems to have been overlooked: Anyone know if Stefan are still planning on launching the car today??? Selby |

If you look at the original list that I posted yesterday on the previous page, you'll see that it's speculative. I put Stefan down as "still hoping to race"
They won't be on the official list. I'm pretty sure they'll have to wait |

I hate the way they keep on skipping number 13. Superstitious nonsense.
