First I've heard of this. But what is "Reynard USA"? What with the cars being built in England?

Just speculating, but likely it's just some facilities and access to some engineering talent that he was able to get at a bargain basement price. Certainly not enough to build chassis.

Reynard Cars North America are located in Indianapolis and they are the distributor of the CART Chassis and parts. Derick Walker has indeed purchased the assets and rights to Reynard Cars North America, as well as the parts inventory and he will become the distributor of chassis and parts to the CART teams running Reynards.

A company called International Management Group purchased the assets and inventory of Reynard Cars UK. I don't know what their plans are at the moment. There could be some legal wranglings between Walker and IMG to determine who owns what. It will take some weeks to sort out.

Erm, stop me if I'm wrong, but I thought Derrick Walker didn't have any money. How can he buy Reynard Cars North America then? Or is Tora his new partner?

Derrick Walker has plenty of money. He just doesn't have a sponsor for his IRL effort and he chooses not to fund the team out of his own pocket.

Anything that stops CART becoming a one make series is good in my view.
