Fantasy Tracks: The Ultimate Showdown
OK, to mark the passing of Conrad's Fantasy Tracks website, perhaps the place that made it all happen for a lot of us, I thought we could have a little competition.
Here's the idea, each member can nominate two tracks from the Fantasy Track section of the website (not edits of real tracks) these tracks will then be divided into two semi-finals, before a final showdown - to create the ultimate circuit that Fantasy Tracks has ever hosted. This will be a prelude, to a competition I intend to run with my mate: jab, here at My Tracks in the near future. The Rules If you are unaware of the website. Please contact me via Personal Message, and I shall provide you with the link to the website. I urge the moderators of Ten-Tenths to view this as a bit of fun amongst the track designing community, rather than advertising. To remind you: members must post thier two "picks" from the Fantasy Tracks section of the site. Please ensure that when you post your picks, you: A) Post your picks like so: Pick 1 Track Name: Bagard Bell Park Designer: William Campbell Pick 2 Track Name: Santa Monica Designer: Matthew Snyder You may then post pictures/images of the circuits, this however is not absolutely nessecary at this stage. 2) Please check that your pick has not already been chosen by another member. If you post a pick that has already been posted, then you will be notified. Failure to choose another pick, will result in both your votes being declared null and void. and 3) A lot of you, may have posted your own circuits. For instance, The_Royksopp has done, along with Pirenzo, and obviously Freak amongst a few others. Please do no pick your own circuit, as this goes against the spirit of the competition! --- Please enjoy, and let's give FT the fitting send-off, it deserves.

That's pretty difficult. I took a long look at all of them and I actually came up with four. Two of them are My Tracks Raceway Challenges, so I thought I'd mention those seperately. The other tracks are two classics, so to speak:

My favourite all time Fantasy Track was Gibson Island, back from the original eTracks site, however, we're not going back there.
I'm a big fan of Daniel Stafford's work, and Watchtower is a great choice. However, I feel that Bridgestone Raceway was always a little favourite of mine. It's not the best, but it's always stood out, so that's in my pick. My second choice would be one of Daniel Stafford's work, Antrim Hills. I like Gibson Island as well. only the island would be quite small if it could only hold one racetrack.

There are several of us, and there are 108 fantasy tracks to look through and pick from.
BTW, some of you will need to amend your picks to satisfy the original rules: namely, picking circuits that haven't already been selected by someone else. Sorry if I sound like a stickler, I just figure it's easier to re-iterate that now than in a week and a half. |
