Andy Caldecott - 1 year on
I can't believe it's been a full year now since Andy passed away while riding his bike in the Dakar rally. It is one of the toughest events in the world to compete in and Andy gave it all he had and tragically died whilst competing.
My thoughts today are with his family and his friends as they remember a great man. R.I.P. Andy Caldecott 1964-2006. |

I echo your thoughts Chatters. I have started following the Dakar over the last few years (since Colin McRae made his debut) and being an Aussie, Andy was a competitor I followed. For him to be killed in last year's event was horrible news.
With the running of this year's event, I too will think of him, his family, and the other competitors who risk their lives on this event. |
