I fear a big tarmac run off will be erected at the start of the gravel trap which will serve as connection to the new road.

Not sure if this all will expel my fears (towards the tarmac run offs). |

In future years the braking area for Arnage is going to take some cleaning up at the start of practice. A year's worth of dust to clear...
I remember on the pit tour at Oak Racing a couple of years ago, they said they looked at the track in four distinct sections from a set up point of view. 1. permanent, regularly used race track from Ford Chicane to Forest Esses. The best bit of track for a racing car. 2. public, urban road from Tertre Rouge to Mulsanne. Crowned, rutted, greasy. 3. public, country road from Mulsanne to Porsche Curves. 4. permanent, rarely used race track from Porsche Curves to Ford Chicane. Smooth but dirty, until it gets rubbered in. There's that thing again - variety. |

Safer barrier to be set up at Porsche curves.
Accordingly to Danish newspaper the concrete barrier at Porsche curves is to be covered by a SAFER barrier like in the US. http://ekstrabladet.dk/sport/anden_s...ssving/5946560 EDIT: also http://www.speedcafe.com/2016/02/10/...ed-at-le-mans/ |

Making that section even narrower!
@Batmobile: I think he's impressed with the size of it! It's been there for a while now of course but the angle of the shot makes it look so much bigger (but it's huge to begin with!). Quickly! Hide it, before the FIA sees it! |

Thanks, really insightful!
The safer barriers are the Tec Pro ones, at the entrance of the Porsche Curves at least. Haven't they been there for a while? |

Thank you for the videos Eric.
Now I need to stop with the feelings of jealousy that you get to drive the circuit any time you please! And yeah, those safer barriers have been at the entrance to Porsche Curves at least the past two races. |

It looks very big from that angle and your video from behind the barrier seems to show you a long way from the action.

I am at the end of the "mound" where the gravel trap is the widest. On the right side of this picture https://scontent-cdg2-1.xx.fbcdn.net...76078639_o.jpg |
