2007 Indy 500 "Race Day" Pick 'Em Contest

2007 Indianapolis 500 “Race Day Pick ‘em” Contest
Indianapolis Motor Speedway – Sun., May 27

DEADLINE FOR PICKS: Sunday, May 27, at Noon (GMT)..That is approx. 7 a.m. on Race Day in Indy.

PLEASE Get them in Before the Deadline

-- It is time again for the running of “The Greatest Spectacle in Racing,” the 91st edition of the Indianapolis 500 on the famed 2.5-mile superspeedway known as “The Brickyard.” This year’s field features 6 former winners and the speed differential between the fastest and slowest qualifier is just 6 mph. I can tell you that as the 33 cars drive by my seats in the Third Turn in 11 beautiful rows of three next Sunday, there will be no other place in the world that I would rather be!!!

The event is 200 laps and 500 miles

I sent you a PM about this, but you cannot pick two people for a spot (10th Place) and you cannot have two different people for the "Winner" and the "200 Lap Milestone" because both would be the same....it is not fair to the other competitors to selected multiple drivers in either situation.

Here are your Indy 500 Race results:

Marcus picked Dario to win for 2 pts.

In the "Top 10," Alwaysfirst had 9 pts., drdisque & marcus had 8 pts. each, Flavinha and Peno had 7 pts each, Dylan14, NAC, and rcarr each had 6 pts. and drewdawg727 had 3 pts. (he is at sea, and he PM'ed them to me in advance)

No one had Kanaan for the fast lap

marcus was closest to the speed - actual - 223.420 marcus - 223.000

in The "Milestones" Alwaysfirst had Kanaan at 100 laps and marcus had Dario on the final lap for 2 pts. each.

No one had Moreno as 1st out

marcus had Barron as the Mover (26-15) for 2 pts, but Hamilton also would have been counted (20-9)

Marcus also had Dario as the top Dallara for 2 pts.

Flavinha, NAC and Alwaysfirst had Jacques Lazier as the top Panoz (27th) for 2 pts.

drdisque was closest to the race avg. speed - Actual - 151.774 drdisque - 157.690

Here is what I've got for you...I'll also post this from now onward, so that all of you will know throughout the season as part of the points totals.

Including Pole Day there have been 6 contests thus far, with Milwaukee being 7t of 18 events.

Season Totals after Indy:

Tim you are a legend. Well I have my work cut out for me then up against some seasoned veterans and I was a little late getting to the grid. Oh well lets see if the rookie can shake it up and rattle the vets.

Tell me how come you are not in the comp this season??
