Worth noting, if #8 has overheating issues, the team probably tell the #7 to back off and cool its box as well.

I’m a die hard Toyota fan , but of this is what I’m going to be watching this season .. then I’m very desapointed ..

I’m all for the number #7 car to win every race moving forward ..

This depends on how much the 8 has to slow down. If the issues are too severe, may as well let the #7 by and conserve a 1-2.

The 7 was in the back of 8 before pitting, which mysteriously took 10 second longer. After 1 1/2 laps it was back behind again.
So if somebody slows down its the 7

Even when they clearly break the rules and do not get penalised?

Or is that okay because team orders (which are allowed in racing) are worse than overtaking under a safety car (which is not)?

Feel free to be annoyed at the result being manipulated, but I have news for you if you think Toyota are the only people at it.

Well , if you have been watching the race for the last 30 mins you would noticed your self .. first Conway magically lost 10 second in the pits ,second .. Alonso was running with no booste and all of the sudden the boost kicked in and he pulled 15 second from Conway !!!

If that’s not set up and I don’t know what it is ..

The safety car ended and the green was waved. So they technically didn't overtake behind a safety car, it appears the lmp2 just didn't go when it was supposed to...?

I think that people have gotten accustomed to teams like Audi Sport, be it Joest or Champion, letting their drivers race and rarely using team orders.

That and I think we're all hard-wired to find stuff to be negative about.

BTW, I think that team orders kinda suck, but it's a part of this type of racing where teams share sponsors and there's a teams'/manufacturers' championship up for grabs that's also probably where they get most of their prize money from.
