So Karthikeyan comes back to do a one-off test in a Carlin F3 car and finishes the day in 21st, 1.2s off the pace.
Going on the logic that was applied to Justin Wilson's F3 outing, Karthikeyan should have been setting the pace, after all, he has plenty of F3 experience himself, plus the added experience gained from Nippon, Nissan and F1 testing. So how come their performances relative to this year's F3 regulars are so different? |

Cause Karthikeyan is just like Yoong: sh1te!!! Where as Justin Wilson might be compared to someone a bit better. Just because someone has been in a F1 car or a F Nippon or F3000, doesn't mean they'll be quicker if they step back down the ladder. And anyway, I think the lad only had one outing in the Jag.

Narain was running in a new car that had'nt been run before, so it was more like a shake down. He hasn't been in an F3 car since Korea last year, it takes time to readjust. And it helps to run on new tyres,Narain only used old tyres.

Mr H and Av - if you knew anything about motorsport you wouldn't have made such ridiculous comments.

I've always thought he was good his done alot better then Yoong! he done **** all in F3 and then ends up in F1? (example of money over talnet)
Narain has had race wins and been sucessful could the fact that the design of this years car seems to be drastically different from the previous one (which he will have had knowledge of)? |

Wiggy - my comments were not meant as a put down to Narain or his talent. People in this forum were very quick to play down Justin Wilson's excellent test in the Manor car, giving endless reasons why he *should* have been quick. As exactly the same reasons applied to Karthikeyan (PLUS a million more F3 miles) I was wondering what their response to his more lowly result would be.
However, neither of the main offenders (Russfeld, Jawa) have chosen to respond. I don't want to start a Wilson/Karthikeyan who's the best? match, I just think it's an interesting comparison, as they are both racing Telefonica World Series this year. Oh yeah, and he did get a run or two in the Jordan, I know he did a couple of days at Monza the same time as Justin. |

When Narian drove the Jaguar F1 he wast almost "half" a second quicker Jag's Test driver Tomas Shecter(spelling????)
The problem with Narain is that he's inconsistent, in the sense that if u remember he won both race at the Korean F3 in 2000 but last year when he drove a one off race for Carlin motorsports in the Korean F3 he wasn't that quick. |

WELL NARAINS RAN THE JAG R1 FOR 25 LAPS , AND DI GET 2 DAYS WORTH TESTING IN THE JORDAN HE HOWEVER RAN THE OTHER CHASSIS WHILE WILSON RAN ALESIS CAR.
WHEN HE SPUN AT MACAU HE HAD A SUBSTANTIAL LEAD - LETS FACE IT THAT YEAR HE WAS IN A TOTALLY DIFFERENT LEAGUE - HE HIT A BUMP WHEN ATTEMPTING TO NEGOCIATE A CORNER AND GOT HIS FOOT ON THE THROTTLE INSTEAD OF THE BRAKE PEDAL 9I BELIVE HE SAYS THAT WAS HIS WORST MOMENT )HES NOT A BAD DRIVER AND IT IS UNFAIR TO COMPARE HIM WITH YOONG MANY SAY HIS TIME TO GET INTO F1 HAS COME AND GONE |
