Michael Lauer/Michael Brockman/Gunnar Jeannette, No. 75 GT Manthey-Gunnar Racing Porsche 911 GT3-R, 4:27.999* I hope no one is surprised about the speed of the Team Joest Audi Sport team as they have dominated the early times. The Panoz factory effort has posted the next best times about 2.5 seconds adrift of the lead group. Next comes the Rafanelli Judd-powered Lola, an excellent effort by them and Team Dragon and Konrad Motorsports to displace the factory Cadillac entries. By far the tightest battle falls down to the two lead American muscle car entries. The lead Team ORECA Viper leads the lead factory Corvette C5R by just over 2 seconds. This should shape up into a great battle. The Viper may be faster, but the 'Vette is more efficient. |

yeh i guess it is no surprise to see the audi's up there or the panoz cars to...but great effort by the Olive garden rafenelli team..wonder what Pier Luigi Martini is thinking at this point in time after he quit the team nearly 2 weeks ago...i guess speed in practise isnt that important as its going to be a reliability run more than anything else..but so far looking good for an audi win.
BTW KC some of the times have little * next to them what do they mean ???? |

I poached it off of the Speedvision site and have no idea what the asterisks are.

KC.
The asterisks are those funny star shaped things alongside some of the times. I thought you'd know that. |

The asteriks indicate the time was set in the 1st qualifying session, and that the team did not run a faster time in the 2nd session. All the other times were set in the 2nd session
