British 2008 (Er sorry 2007) dates???

Anybody got any provisional dates yet for the BRDA / BTRDA & RSS events yet?

Just trying to get everything organised in advance. (need to book work holidays asap)

The BRxC dates for 2007 have been published in this weeks Motorsport News. It might have been nice if the competors had been told first, either by e-mail or letter or even on the BRDA website. But hay-ho at least we have them now.

April 9th - Lydden
May 7th - TBC
May 28th - Lydden
July 1st - Pembrey
Aug 5th - Knockhill
Aug 27th - Lydden
TBC - Mondello
Oct 21st - Croft

Presume the TBC is Blyton and that Mondello will be the 13/14th of October.

It does make for a very busy month of May where you could have Blyton on twice one week ofter the other and lydden on the following week.

I hope they have a double header in Pembry. This would allow the Irish travel over twice without having to drive huge distances. It would also be a nice addition to the Irish championship. It would make up for no Anglesey this year...

Exactly what I thought There's also the Open Series round at Lydden in September (23rd) but that clashes with WTCC at Brands

Another northern event would be nice..
I do love lydden, but trekking the length of britian 3 times

The dates where popular with the misses though, as there is nothing in June when we are getting wed and off on honeymoon

Well to balance things out the southerners will have plenty of travelling if they do the 'open' or the mda series - all but one of those events are in the north!

It would be a shame if we end up with one northern and one southern championship...

Any news on what the 'new' Anglesey rallycross track will look like? Many changes?

Anglesey's new circuit does not include a rallycross track at the moment.

Two of the 2007 dates clash with BTCC so does that mean Andrew Jorden will miss these rounds and race in the clio's ?

After all the waiting i was very disapointed that some dates are so close together with large breaks also!

Could be in danger of being a regional championship!

Perhaps there should be a Lydden masters trophy!!!!!!!!!!

No Blyton ! why ?

There is only One date that actually clashes and that is the final round of the BTCC at Thruxton, which is the same date as the penultimate BRxC round at Mondello. So by then I presume priority will be given to the championship he needs the most points in.
The only other round where they come close is the May Day weekend, but the Rallycross is on the Monday so it will be a quick ride from Thruxton to Pembrey for Andrew.

I would have thought a small increase on last year, as per normal, but nothing huge!

From memory: the BTRDA was about £170 per round last year. The Open Series have set their fees at £175 this year so I wouldn't think that the BTRDA will be much more than this.

Its a shame that Blyton's missing from the British championship but the MDA do go there on several occasions.

Lydden is by far the best track for spectating and is the home of rallycross, and with the previous talk of the track closing this is great news!
